Our drivers have obtained a commercial driving license and are kept up to date with all of our standard medical procedures to ensure your safety during long distance medical transportation.


Driving a commercial motor vehicle is a big responsibility and we know you place your trust in our drivers and us; therefore, we make it our responsibility to hire only the most experienced and professional drivers available. We make sure each driver has a clean driving record with no violations. We also require a test drive prior to hiring a driver for National Medical Transport.

Driving the medical coach requires special skills and knowledge, so we make sure that each driver is qualified for the special needs of our clients. Because we have two CDL drivers on board, we are able to offer you continuous transport.

All CDL drivers must pass a rigid physical examination every 2 years and submit to testing for drug and alcohol use, including unannounced random testing. Drivers of all trucks with gross-weight ratings of more than 26,000 pounds and medical coaches carrying patients and medical equipment are subjected to rigorous tests of their knowledge of safety regulations and their ability to drive the large vehicles such as our medical coaches, the Bluebird and the Spirit.
